The format is co-ed 4's and attracts players from Erie, Pittsburgh, Akron, Canton, West and East sides of Cleveland plus all the surrounding towns in Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga counties.  The Summer Classic has been held every summer since 1999.  400X400_-_Image69It is always the first saturday after the last full weekend in July at Stanton Community Park in Madison, Ohio.  Stanton Park is located on the shores of Lake Erie, providing a beautiful background for the tournament.  400X400_-_Image66The park also has a playground area, picnic pavillions, basketball courts and beach access (swim at your own risk) to provide for all your family needs when your not playing.

The Format of the tournament is 2 male and 2 Females on each team.

There are 3 competitive levels in Open/A, BB and B divisions.  Prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place in all divisons.  Cash prizes are awarded to the winners in the Open/A division only, making for a very competitive tournament.  Cost is $100 a team, which covers all the prizes, expenses and for the food we provide.  Starting in 2010, we will donate some of the team entry fees to the local food bank.

This years tournament will be held on Sat. August 6, 2011.  If you have no plans for that day, and have never played in this tournament, give it a try!

Make sure you include the Madison Summer Classic in your plans for the upcoming summer!
